The House

Step into a spacious hallway; left is the movie room with an enormous horseshoe sofa to snuggle on for movie nights, straight ahead there’s a utility room with laundry facilities and right opposite steps go down to the kitchen, sleek and well-equipped, light pours in through floor to ceiling windows. The adjacent dining room is a sumptuous and sophisticated setting for any celebration dinner; full height windows bring the light in, there’s a wood-burner for extra warmth if you need it – the house has very efficient underfloor heating throughout, with individual room control

Right of the entrance hall are Bedrooms 1 and 2; between the bedrooms doors open onto the pool terrace. Bedroom 3 is next to the kitchen, and off the dining room a small lobby leads to Bedroom 4. All bedrooms at Ridgeview have zip and link beds (super king or twin). Also off the lobby is the living room leading through to the spa room with a hot tub, sauna and table tennis.

Upstairs are Bedrooms 5-8, and sleeping 2 extra guests (extra charge – see Extras), Bedroom 9 is back downstairs next to Bedroom 4. Bedrooms 3 and 5 have beautiful free-standing copper baths as well as separate showers.

Every room in the house has an outlook over the pool terrace, the landscaped gardens, or across to Exmoor, and if you’re eco minded you’ll be glad to hear that Ridgeview uses air source heat pumps and solar energy – big green tick.

Off the courtyard at the front of the house is the games room, on the south facing pool terrace there’s a year round heated pool and a hot tub in a tropical style breeze hut. The other side of the house there’s a Bedouin style outdoor room with festoon lights, sofas, a dining area and heaters. Love the views over the lawns and the countryside beyond, linger in the breeze hut beside the pond. Ridgeview is a house for all seasons and all ages; book your large group stay today!
