Riverside Place, Taunton, Somerset
Beside the River Tone, Riverside Place is part of the collective area in Taunton that’s known as the Independent Quarter - because it’s home to smaller independent traders. Together, they’ve created a community and given this area a unique and upbeat vibe. Wander around and you’ll find the likes of boutiques, gift shops, a greengrocer, butcher, a florist, a sustainable living shop, a jeweller and Neals Yard remedies. Carry on around the backstreets and you’ll discover historic townhouses, more independent businesses and some bright and colourful murals; if you're looking for eats or a drink, you'd be hard pushed to find anywhere better this end of town than The Ring of Bells.
