The setting is a large secluded plot at the edge of a sleepy Somerset village in the Blackdown Hills National Landscape; here you’ll have peace and tranquillity with possibly the only sounds being the breeze whispering in the treetops, the birdsong, and the occasional tractor chugging up the lane.

This luxury timber clad lodge sleeps 12 over 5 bedrooms and has room for 2 extra guest beds (extra charge - see Extras). It’s a wonderful place to stay any time of year because with a heated indoor pool and a games area with table football there’s plenty to keep you happy even if the weather’s misbehaving. If the sun is shining, make the most of the huge garden and the play area with a climbing fort and trampoline.

There’s a good pub just a mere saunter down the road (from Jan 2026), a stone’s throw away are water meadows and footpaths to explore, and within a short drive you’ll find heaps to see and do; there are historic houses and glorious gardens, family attractions, upbeat market towns to browse and less than an hour away, the beaches of the Jurassic Coast. Major routes are easy to get to and Taunton station is 10 miles away with fast links to London Paddington.
