The House
In you go, through the porch to the dining room; furnishings are a blend of modern and period style, the backdrop is centuries old character – hefty stone walls, elm beams and window seats. Dress the long dining table with flowers and finery, set the scene for an unforgettable celebration feast.
Off the dining room is the modern farmhouse style kitchen and the sitting room, with big fat leather sofas to curl up on, a wide screen TV, the original inglenook fireplace, and restored 15th century panelling. Carry on to the games room where a 3-in-1 table means pool, air hockey or ping-pong.
The bedrooms are all upstairs off a long landing; Bedrooms 1 and 2 are in the Orchard Suite, sharing a dressing room and bathroom – a great set up for a family. Along the landing are Bedroom 3 (The Garden Room) with an ensuite bathroom and Bedroom 4 (Willow Room) with its own shower room.
By the front door there’s a large terrace with a covered dining area, across the drive is another sitting area with outdoor sofas beneath a pergola. Beyond is the Scandi style BBQ lodge with a small kitchen.
Follow the path to the hot tub, indoor swim spa and more outdoor seating; the swim spa lodge has full height doors you can open wide to let the sunshine in. At the end of the field, past the swim spa lodge, there’s a play area with swings and a football goal, and a small orchard with plum trees.
Come and love this perfect piece of Somerset; relax in the country, take home memories you can’t stop talking about.
