The House
Step into the hall and straight ahead are the stairs, to the right is the living room with big fat sofas to cosy up on, a huge TV for family movie nights, and a wood-burner that you can light after a wintry walk along the River Tone.
Left of the hall is the dining room where a chunky table seats all; pile it high, gather round and tuck in for those very special occasions – significant birthdays, remarkable anniversaries. Make it extra special by booking one of the private caterers on our Extras list; they’ll come round and create a feast fit for a king. Continue round to the kitchen, light and airy, and well equipped.
Upstairs are Bedrooms 1-4 and a family bathroom. Bedrooms 1 and 2 have vaulted, wooden-clad ceilings, giving a light and airy New England feel. Bedroom 4 has the option of an extra bed (extra charge – see Extras). All beds are zip and link (super king or twin).
On the ground floor, off the living room are Bedrooms 5 and 6 and a shared shower room. Bedroom 6 has room for an extra bed (extra charge – see Extras). A porch takes you out to a raised lawn with play equipment for the younger folk.
Stride across the front courtyard to the games room to play pool or table football, or to comfy up on the sofa to catch up with the latest match. Next door is the pool hall and steam room, doors open onto a very private raised terrace with a barrel sauna and outdoor seating.
At the front of the house there’s a large paved courtyard where you can dine together in the sunshine and soak your worries away in the covered hot tub.
